We call it that because it’s about a lot more than just buying. We should know. hmc2 has been planning, negotiating and, yes, buying media pretty much since the agency’s inception. And not just in Vermont (though we’re brazen enough to boast that nobody knows media in Vermont better). At hmc2 we understand that buying media is a bit like following a recipe. Our media department uses STRATA, a state-of-the-art, media-buying software program. We subscribe to research data from Arbitron and Nielsen that integrate with STRATA, enabling us to plan, negotiate, and buy more effectively and efficiently. We can also perform post-buys that solve that pesky question, “Did the spots run when and where they were requested?” The reason we excel in media is because we believe there is art in this science.
